[$$] Bank Payouts Are Set to Rise After Stress Tests
Large U.S. banks received a very good financial report card last week from the Federal Reserve, after their annual stress tests. “Yield investors will have to start paying more attention to bank stocks, expanding the sector’s investor base,” noted Betsy Graseck, a Morgan Stanley analyst, late last week. The Fed didn’t object to any of the capital plans, notably for dividends and share repurchases, submitted by any of the 34 bank holding companies that underwent the review.
