Active management really started falling out of favor around this post in 2017. Passive is the way to go long term, but the beauty of it is, many who say they are indexers mess with allocations too much or engage in degrees of market timing (bailing in Feb/March 2020). I'd argue that even though they use passive index funds, they still affect buys and sells and fund flows.
