After enjoying many of Ira Epstein's videos, I was caught like a deer in the headlights when he offered (as many stock tip professionals do) a discounted package for his Charting Course during the waning days of 2016. I jumped in. Here is what I have found so far:

I have made it through Moving Averages after the section on Swinglines. Another way to couch the trend identification and movement, swinglines work with other indicators to show buy/sell points.

I have enough to be dangerous now. I am tracking AGG as I just went in 100% a few days ago and see that his method does support my move (WOOHOO).

Each section is broken into 8 to 15 minute videos with dynamic chart examples. He talks you through each chart application without introducing the whole tool box.

Long and short trades are covered, with respect to the swinglines and the 18 day moving average.

Can't wait for the Bollinger Band section, so I will know where my trend I am tracking will bounce!

The deal is over tonight, I understand. But as an educator, I am highly impressed with the delivery and substance of his charting course. Looking to apply this to several ETFs and work some trades.

At the end of my Discounted Monthly trial.

The good news is much of what Ira is applying is off-the-shelf Stock Chart stuff. Some tweaks may be required (3 day average of highs) but overall he is describing a method to classify trends as well as entry points with stops. You do get to see his premium newsletter stuff. I am not a grain guy but he has the charts and analysis for grain and other commodities.

I could see a wider effect of a subscription if I was doing some trading each week. But I am just watching some ETFs for TSP. Besides TSPTalk and some charts, happy to apply some method from Ira to my free Barchart account.

I am adding the ADX to my tool belt for TA.
