I can't load my attachments anymore. File I/O error when I do upload. Error#2038
I don't usually attach files so I'm not that familiar, but I just did one as a test and it worked. (http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/test-area/17623-test-2.html#post556871)

I don't believe it is related to the pop up situation, so I am moving this post. I assume it's a file size similar to other attachments you do? Is there anything different than normal? I know I have disabled and re-enabled several modification scripts, and may have deleted one or two I thought wasn't being used.

Let me know. Thanks.

When I push upload when I try to load my charts after select files I get 500[IO Error Event Type "ioerror " bubbles cancelable=falseEvent Phase=2 Text="Error #2308"]
I haven't changed file size or anything different.

I am running Microsoft Essentials to see if I picked up adware from a popup.

What size file and type (png, gif, etc.?)

I'll check to see if maybe our max sized changed for some reason.

The old file was a png 130Kb and the new one was 106Kb I also can't find any difference under properties of the two files. This is weird.

For some reason, and I don't know if this was recently changed, the png max size was 100K. I'll change it to 200K. let me know if that does anything, but as I said I do see something wrong too.

Test five png: My newer saved files won't upload but old files will. Must be something that works with file date: Don't know if I want to go to a previous restore point will work. My scan is half way through. I'll wait until the scan completes. I did do a McAfee scan on one of the new files and it didn't see anything.

File before 9 )October loads up fine and later file starts loading and after it looks like it's done it say's waiting for Tsptalk.com . Seem like I lost permission on anything after the 8th. I've never seen anything date related before. I tried in both IE and Chrome. File from 10/07/16

It's either date related (unlikely), or file related (likely. [corruption]).

Tom suggests trying a brand new image file. That could answer both questions. If the new file works, you may want to scan your hard drive for errors.

Opened chart in photo viewer and saved a copy so I will try test.png Same thing looks like it loads and prompts waiting on Tsptalk.com. Can't be that the loader is corrupted because the older files work. Maybe I have ransom ware on my computer.

I'm thinking that maybe since the older file was already uploaded to the site, it's not really uploading another copy. If interested, you could test this by uploading an old file, if you have one, that wasn't already uploaded to the site.

Also, as a work-around. You could upload your images to some image storage site, then just link to the url from here.

While we sort out whatever this attachment issue is, have you tried any of the images / file storing sites? It may help in the interim. Here's a couple...

https://postimage.org/

TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting (http://tinypic.com/)

https://imgsafe.org/

So, instead of doing an attachment, you would upload your image and use the URL these sites give you for your image
