it is getting to be fall and winter coming on and my goal is to start getting some exercise to lose weight and tone up this year. i am looking for a good used treadmill or stairclimber in the classified adds, but also considering which sports might help me do that.

i was considering taking some wrestling classes at the community center to improve my flexibility and core strength, but i'm not sure if it is right for me.

i read that cycling is good for getting the heart rate up and burning calories, but the roads will soon be icy with snow and i just don't think i can pull of the uniform look like the columbian team.

they do have swimming sessions at the indoor pool and that is supposed to be a low impact and efficient way to start, but the whole 10 pounds of sausage in a 5 pound sack thing might be a bit of a stretch.

cross-country skiing will do the trick for toning, and get you outdoors too. at relatively low cost. don't forget iceskating. exhilarating once you stop falling down. :1244:

don't forget iceskating.

iceskating is not really my thing. i hate it when the sequins on my outfit do that.
