Aust market follows global Brexit rebound
[AAP] - The Australian share market has rallied as stock markets around the world rebounded from a two-day rout sparked by Britain's decision to leave the European Union. On Wall Street overnight, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 269.48 points, or 1.57 per cent, to 17,409.72 and the S&P 500 gained 35.55 points, or 1.78 per cent, to 2,036.09. CMC Markets chief market analyst Ric Spooner said that just because the market was up today, it did not mean the Brexit outcome was no longer an issue.
