Hi guys,
I had a question about how an IFT posted before noon and after noon on Fridays work? If done before noon would the update kick in Friday close of business? And if done after noon would it kick in on Monday morning or Saturday? Thanks a bunch for your help, it'd clarify my understanding.

At TSP.gov the IFT input after noon on Friday will be effective COB the next trading day (usually the following Monday unless it's a holiday). On TSPTalk you get until 12:10PM to post your IFT.

What they all said !

Another minor point : When I HAD a TSP account, I never liked making a trade after noon Friday...too much time for things to go bad ! OTOH, you can always CANCEL the request (before noon Monday or the next trading day) at any time by going back in to TSP.GOV.

Thanks guys, I was thinking about making a move due to it being the end of the month but I'll just sit and monitor the situation a little more.

I always think that too. If I miss a Friday cut-off, or want to wait until Monday's deadline to jump in or out, I never do it on Friday or submit it on Saturday. I usually hold off until Monday morning sometime just to make sure I'm confident on my decision and I've had enough time to see if anything I think will affect good or bad the funds I'm jumping in and out of.
