Just an FYI, I will no longer accept new forum accounts that use hotmail.com for their email addresses, which also means you can't change your address to a new hotmail.

There has been a flood of spammers trying to register for the forum over the last month or two - like 50+ a day, and most of them are using hotmail, so I am trying to cut down on dealing with these mostly foreign accounts.

The setting I used is supposed to not impact anyone currently using hotmail so if your current account is impacted, let me know, particularly if you rely on Intrepid's forum email alerts and use hotmail.

Thanks.

The last Intrepid Timer Alert I received via my hotmail account was on 03/24/14 at 12:24pm. Sender was TSP Talk.com. I still receive the daily commentary messages and all other TSPTalk correspondence. Just not the I_T alerts.

It's the administration spying on us. :notrust:

Hi jr. This "no hotmail.com" accounts deal was only impacting new registrants, but spammers got around it so it isn't even an issue anymore.

But hotmail.com is one of the email services that seems to mark us as spam, since our forum generates a lot of email notifications like the alerts. So I would not recommend hotmail for I_T's forum thread alerts. If you must use hotmail, you might consider using gmail and use their filters to forward the alerts to your hotmail account.
