Gallo1,

I don't agree with Tom, or very many others for that matter - you have to remain independent in mind. Stay put and buy more on the way up - there won't be much opportunity to get on board. Look at 2003 for sp500, then look at 1995, 1996, 1997, into 1998 and 1999. You can form your own conclusions.

Are you with the 173rd Brigade (ABN) or the Navy?

Actually, I did one hitch with the AF, 3380th FMS, hurricane hunters, at Keesler AFB just after the draft ended. I squeezed under the wire for the GI bill, after a few years I decided to take advantage of it and got my degree in Urban and Regional Planning. I didn't think I'd ever work for the government again, much less forthe Air Force. 10-years went by and the AF was recruiting master planners at the GS level/Civil Service and I grabbed hold of the opportunity. I've been a lot of places since then and currently I'm at Aviano AB. This is probably more than you wanted to know, but hey don't get me going.

I don't know if I'll start an allocation forum. It depends how much I continue IFTs.
