:confused:Question #1: I am inquiring on the transfer of funds to an IRA account before retiring. What forms do I have to acquire and where are they located in the TSP web site? I have been informed that a complete withdrawal can be withdrawn if you are 55 or older with a minimum of 20 years.
:blink:Question #2: I would like to know what are the top ten holdings in the C fund and S fund?
:rolleyes:Question #3: How do you track the individual investments in the index F Fund?
:DQuestion #4: Knowing the current situation with all Federal Employees and the possibility of our retirement TSP account can be confiscated by the government we work for, what fund would you transfer to?
:mad:Question #5: What fund do you consider to be in when the stock market downturns as we experienced from March of 2008 to March 2009?
:cool:Question #6: I was told if your retire before you are 62, their is a supplemental income available to the social security you would be receivng at 62, where is this information?

The answers to 1 and 2 are available at www.tsp.gov (http://www.tsp.gov). Just dig a little bit.

For 3, the TSPTalk site uses iShares Core Total US Bond Market ETF (AGG). More thought is available on the F Fund thread. The F Fund (http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/f-fund/). That info may be available at tsp.gov.

For 6, everything and more at FERS Information (http://www.opm.gov/retirement-services/fers-information/)

Go to CSRS FERS Federal Retirement Calculator, Federal Retirement Income Expense Analyzer (http://csrs-fers.com/) and download the Free Personal Edition. You'll need an Activation key to access all the feature. You can e-mail the company and they'll provide one free of charge. This is absolutely the best (free) program I've ever seen for providing retirement income and expense reports. Compares current bi-weekly \ monthly gross and net pay to your monthly gross \ net after retirement. I believe they will also provide financial advise for a fee if you contact them. I've never used that service, so I'm not sure.
I've used the proram for years. You can upgrade annually for free. I recommend it to the younger employees I work with. Great way to gauge how they're doing as far as saving for the future. Real eye opener.
