For those of us who have FSAFEDS enrollments- a reminder- don't forget to re-enroll for 2013.

Using pre-tax dollars for health care and for dependent care can save you a lot of green, BUT- you have to enroll, and time is quickly running out.

There are only 12 days left in this year's Flexible Spending Account (FSAFFEDS) open season.

I adjusted my amount a little this year and reenrolled today. Have you?

Good luck!

Attention- your Flexible Spending Account (*FSAFEDS) Open Season starts NEXT WEEK. (November 11th. )

Take a look at FSAFEDS to see if you need to enroll, adjust the amount, or otherwise work with your flexble spending account.

Here is the email that FSAFEDS will be sending out shortly:

Dear FSAFEDS Participant:

The Federal Benefits Open Season for 2014 is right around the corner. Would you like a reminder to enroll in FSAFEDS on your Microsoft Outlook calendar?
It’s simple! Just go to www.FSAFEDS.com (https://www.fsafeds.com/fsafeds/index.asp) and click on the link at the top of the homepage just below the Countdown box. You will receive a calendar invitation which will be placed on your calendar once you accept it. You’ll receive your friendly reminder in plenty of time to enroll for 2014.

Attention Current 2013 Participants: YOU MUST RE-ENROLL if you want to participate in 2014. Enrollments do NOT carry forward year-to-year. Do NOT MISS the Federal Benefits Open Season (November 11 through December 9, 2013)!\

Sincerely,

FSAFEDS

Open season starts next week.

this is a good deal. the last few years i've set mine at the level of my health insurance deductible and managed to use all of it for various costs. now there is legislation that will allow you to carry over unused balances to the next calendar year so i'm doubling my pretax contribution to pay for what are normally after tax expenses. prescription drug copays are an eligible expense, and so are mileage riembursement costs to travel to the pharmacy. my pharmacy is just blocks from my work place, 75 miles away. it's very convenient.
