Hey Tom, do you have any more paintingsbyDale Norton or any other artist who captures nautical scenes?

What size are the ones by Dale?

I like the pictures of your gallery. It looks like an upscale place.

Thanks cool. That sailboat painting is really nice. It's about 36" x 24" but I'd have to confirm that.Ithink it is $400. I don't believe he has had any prints made. He has a couple of lighthouse paintings. Hemade prints ofthe lighthouseon the website ($125 unframed, $325 matted and framed), but the original is not for sale right now (unless you can get his wife to give up :)). Off the top of my head, I'd say that the print is 20" x 24".The original is larger.

The sailboats is an acrylic and the lighthouse is a watercolor. He also hasa small original lighthouse watercolor at the gallery (~ 8" x 10", $175). He is very reasonably priced as he is new to the gallery scene and wants to see how things go.

Being that the gallery is in Utah, the local artists don't tend to paint many seascapes or nautical scenes. Dale happens to spend a lot of time in Oregon.

Let me know if I can get you any more info.

Thanks!
Tom

Tom,

I am really impressed with the Quality of the artwork in your shop. I've painted 8 [oil] paintings. Each one seemed to get bigger than the last. Haven't touched it in 7 years, but hope to continue after I retire in 2 1/2 years, [If I can still see]. Went to Ogden last year TDY for one day. You know how the Govt. likes to save money on TDY time. Had time to eat Bar-B-Que at a place close to the base, can't remember the name, but had killer ribs.

Best of luck in your business.

Thanks nnuut! Keep painting! A fewof our artists are in the same boat, had the talent but didn't pursue it until after retirement. They really seem to enjoy it.

Coolhand, 24 x 36 was correct. The total framed piece measuresabout 27" x 39" and isincluded in the price.

I'm guessing shipping will be about $50 but I'll waive that as a TSP Talk discount. :)

Linda'soriginals are near $1000 as she takes many hours to paint each peice. She does have canvas giclee limited edition prints available for most of her pieces in the $140 -$175 range. That's unframed but I can also get you a framed price.

Thanks!

That is mostof it. I have a few more picswhich I will put on the site now. They range in size from about 8 x 10 (the fairy pic and butterfly) to 16x 20 (all the rest). They are all limited edition with a size of 100 except forthe fireman ("Remember") which is an open edition and a little less expensive. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Hey Tom, I'm assuming your Art and Antiques Gallery is still in business? It looks like your website hasn't changed much. The painting I bought by Dale Norton is still shown in the gallery. Just curious.

Hi Cool -

Sorry I missed this one.

Yeah the business is still going strong. I got so busy with work and the site a couple of years ago that I gave full reign to my wife. She's not website savvy so she hired someone to enhance and run it but it didn't work out. It's hard to find reliable people. :) It's too much work for me to keep the new art updated all the time.

Some weekend talk here. My wife has pretty much taken over our art and antiques gallery over the last few years, and there have been some changes.

Artists & Heirlooms still exists selling art and antiques on the main floor, but on the mezzanine and upper floor is now the "Crowley Wilkerson Fine Art Gallery".

In 2009 we partnered up with another art dealer in our area and have focused on getting quality artists. They really are good. I particularly like Doug Braithwaite and have collected a few of his pieces. My house looks like a gallery these days as I probably have as many painting on my walls as we have in the gallery. :)

Enjoy...

Cool stuff! I'd say, send me an email and I'll forward it to my wife. Most of our artists are local (within 100 miles) or they travel here so they can easily deliver their paintings, but I'm sure there are ways of working things out.

There's actually a great coffee shop right next door, and I think my wife buys our coffee beans from them.
