SOPA is the end of us, say bloggers

“If either the U.S. Senate’s Protect IP Act (PIPA) & the U.S. House’s Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) become law, political blogs such as Red Mass Group [conservative] & Blue Mass Group [liberal] will cease to exist,” wrote a blogger at Red Mass Group (http://redmassgroup.com/diary/13601/pipa-sofa-must-die).

Plus YouTube and Facebook will be greatly affected.

From govloop.com...

The Government" Wants Your Internet

The people who invented and run the Internet are pretty important people. Odds are they have a lot on their plates and extra time isn't one of the main courses. So what could make them all pause and sit down to petition the government? It's got to be something pretty dang important, right?

The Elders of the Internet Have A Message
for the U.S. Congress (http://www.govloop.com/profiles/blogs/the-elders-of-the-internet-have-a-message-for-the-u-s-congress?elq=0c95480611574ca7929ab745ec094b30&elqCampaignId=487)

What that letter refers to is the censorship of the Internet and, subsequently, you! It's 2012, we all surf the Internet and chances are we aren't as careful as we should be in terms what sites we visit, what cookies we receive and what we post. As it stands right now, the Internet is a world without borders and a land without laws. Of course, there are dos and don'ts but it's a lot like the wild west: unless you're robbing banks, you're pretty much left alone. Well, that might all be changing in a couple weeks when the censorship sheriff rolls into town.

Online Censorship Coming in 2012? (http://www.govloop.com/forum/topics/censorship-in-2012?elq=0c95480611574ca7929ab745ec094b30&elqCampaignId=487)

This is actually a pretty scary issue. I guess sometimes you've got to fight for your right to use the Internet (I'd link to the Beastie Boys video, but don't want to get censored).

Keep being awesome,

Welcome to corporate ruled america, by the corporation for the corporation. Have you ever known a corporation to give anything away for free? Soon youll be paying for things you Never dreamed you would pay for.

Plus soon you will no longer be able to pay with cash or debit card only credit card (for the interest) or automatic withdrawel ( I have noticed lately i have been asked by several debtors like my hoa, my car insurance company, and my parking at work, to sign up for "automatic withdrawel", I realize however that this will no longer be an option for much longer but rather a requirement!) Welcome to the future.

( The reason I bring this up here is because I firmly believe this is what all this SOPA and PIPA act stuff boils down to, M.O.N.E.Y.... you and I make it and they (corporate) want it, and by way of the government "they" are gonna get it.)
