Hi all -

I am starting a NEW "Last Man Standing" NFL pool. Everyone who was in the original pool (which is still going with 11 players left) has automatically been added. It starts with week #6.

Access the TSP Talk NFL Pool Revival here…

http://www.runyourpool.com/
If you forgot how to play, go to: http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/showthread.php?9873-FREE-NFL-POOL-2011-(it-s-easy) (http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/showthread.php?9873-FREE-NFL-POOL-2011-(it-s-easy)) to see the rules.

No money this time for the winners, but I’ll give away more travel mugs.

1st Place (Last Man / Woman Standing) = TSP Talk Travel Mug
2nd Place = TSP Talk Travel Mug
3rd Place = TSP Talk Travel Mug

Good luck to everyone. If you have any questions, please contact me via Private Message (PM) (http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/private.php?do=newpm&u=1) or contact us via email (support AT tsptalk DOT com) or use the "contact us" link in the menu on the left on www.tsptalk.com (http://www.tsptalk.com/).

Ahh, very good Tom, thanks. I know I'll be looking forward to playing again, that survivor format is kinda neat...unless you bow out in week 5! Congrats. to the last 11 players in the original pool, you have chosen wisely.

I am honored that you selected me to be the administrator of the pool. If this is a mistake, the link that I received logs me in as you, the administrator.:D . I guess you don't like the St. Louis Rams this week.

This "revival" pool is going wacky on us. My week 6 pick has changed 3 times - and I'm not doing it. I am not planning on taking G.B. which is what it has me picking. It had me taking the Ravens, then the Jets, and now G.B. I wonder who I will end up with? :)

I'm trying to contact support to get some answers.

I'm glad you got the revival pool going - I missed making my weekly pick last week. I don't know how long I will last this time either as I'm going with a team that should win at home but they are still a bit iffy as to whether they are ready to take the next step and become a contender.

pocono13, can you please use this link and see if works for you or if it puts you in my account again.

I think I screwed up by sendng the wrong link initially. If you do login and it's under my account, are you able to log out and re-login under your name? I'm worried people are not making the picks in their own account because of the link problem.

Thanks!

Ah, so that is why I found I'd already picked w/o having been there !
-decided to leave it, cuz 'my methods' only got me through the first 3 games ..
I'll have to check back at the site to see which team it even is!

edit:@ 2:40 - even funnier - now it says I haven't picked! -fooled them - chose the same team anyway!

Does anyone know who "Monarchs" is in the NFL pool? I'm having problems with this account and I may have to reset the PW.

Alright! A second chance, I do much better with multiple chances.

I'm still going to pick the same team that knocked me out the first week again though. And for the same reasons. Blind even, because I don't know who they play yet.

Slow learner, I guess. Go Steelers!

Oh no, that's not good. They're playing Jacksonville. Just my luck. Oh well, it's done.

I'm not going to change. If I'd just repeatedly went with my first guess every time, my life would be totally different.

Past pefrormance is not a gaurantee of future results.

What if the underdog kicks some ass for a change? Then maybe we could drop a majority of the remaining remaining. That waaaayy increases my chances for a new coffee mug.

Then maybe Tom would start a revival revival thread and I'd get another shot at it too. That would really waaaayy increase my chances.

Cream or sugar, sugar?

FYI, Ebb used his Ebbchart patterns to pick NFL games against the spread and went 10 - 3 last week. Again, that is WITH the spread - not just picking the winners (which would be even easier).

He asked if we wanted him to post the picks in his Ebbcart report each week and I see he posted them for this coming weekend's games in Thursday's report.

I'll have to keep an eye on this. I'll post the results next week for anyone interested, or even post this week's picks on Sunday, if I remember, after our pool closes.

Indiana+39.5 (GRG) at Wisconsin (RGG) 10/15 (http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/x-apple-data-detectors://1/)
Michigan(RGR) at Michigan St. -3 (RRR)
Baylor+8 (RGR) at 21 Texas A&M (GGR)
LSU(GGR) at Tennessee +17 (RRG)
OklahomaSt -7 (RGG) at Texas (GGG)
OhioSt +3 (GRR) at 16 Illinois (GRG)

Clemson-8 (GRR) at Maryland (GGG)
KansasSt +3.5 (GRG) at Texas Tech (GGG)
Florida-2 (GRG) at Auburn (GGR)

Can't find my name on the pool. It did let me pick new Orleans.

What's your team name? In the meantime you can add your team...

1. Go to http://www.runyourpool.com/join.cfm

2 (http://www.runyourpool.com/join.cfm2). Enter the following information:

a. In the Pool ID box, enter the number 13967
b. In the Pool Password box, enter 'tspnfl' (without the single quotes)

3. Fill out the form information, including a personal username and password. (Rest assured, this information will NOT be sold or utilized for spam email under ANY circumstances.)

4. Make your weekly pick, with the ability to change it right up until the weekly deadline.
It's that easy. If you have any questions, let me know.

Oops! It looks like the default team for non-picks was inadvertantly set to the smallest favorite instead of the the largest favorite in the revival pool.

Oh, well. 65 members didn't make a pick and have been eliminated. I figure they would have made a pick if they were still interested.

I will change it back to the biggest favorite starting with next week's games.

Tough call this week. Do I wanna burn a great team for a high chance or take a gamble on an okay team with a good matchup. Decisions!

We nearly had a big wipe out but the Ravens and Giants came back from big deficits.

In the orignal pool we lost 0 again. Still have 9 players.

Down to 12 in the revival pool with 10 of them relying on the Packers beating the Vikings tonight. Good luck!

The final 3 will now battle it out. Since all 3 get a travel mug, we're now just playing for bragging rights.

I'll deal out the prizes when the original pool ends. That will be after the holidays (or at least Christmas weekend) so I won't have to deal with the busy post office this week.

It looks like we have a 3 way tie at the end of the regulart season since all 3 remaining players took the same team. Since in this revival pool, 1st thru 3rd place pays the same thing, the only thing to play for now is bragging rights. I will try to update the pool settings to include the playoffs so we can keep going with a tie-breaker - just for funzies.

Congrats. I'll be asking for shipping info for the winners later this week.
