So, unless we see a statistically relevant increase in wages or a rise in inflation, I don't think a rate increase will occur in October.

If you read a lot of financial press, commentary, etc. it's easy to think the Fed makes decisions based on the market. I think that is a false narrative, even though the market will react to decisions. However, there are plenty of people with great influence, *ahem* bankers, that have access to Fed members. And who threw a small fit when they didn't raise rates? Those bankers are sick of low interest rates. The Fed's job is to balance growth and inflation, cool down too much inflation and try to avoid deflation. FS is right, if the targets aren't met, rates should stay low...

Welll...survived two days now. Missed out on Wednesday so exit will be critical. Now to try getting past Mon-Tues, which as of late has had notorious drops triggered by bad news out of China.

Best Wishes to everyone on your investments!!!!!!!!

More Grease!! Woo hooooo.. I love this Stockard Channing video. Love the beautiful rasp in her voice...one of my favorite vocals in the whole movie! Then of course love the others too. I think this vocal did not make it to the Soundtrack.. But could be it was so short.

Olivia Newton John's Hopelessly Devoted is Awesome!!!! It is my Favorite vocal!!

Ok last one! John Travolta's vocal on this was spot on.. I love that he sits at the swings with old movie commercials running in background. Vocals great, plus video reminds me of parents taking me and sis to drive in movies and playing on swings!! PLUS check out all those beautiful 1950's convertible cars!!!

Hi! So glad to see the market rally yet again!! Woo. ...hoo! Not sure if an exit is in order tomorrow or Wednesday....??? Tendency has been for up movements to be very short lived before the next leg down....

MACD has crossed positive on SPX so I think we are having a very short-term (few days to week at most) due to knowledge we will likely not have a Fed rate increase this month. As for longer term, I think I need to see daily price move into a 10 day channel and for the 10 day EMA to cross above the 50 before I believe we have seen the "bottom"!!

Best Wishes to Everyone on your investments!!!!!!!!

Yes... moved to G fund this morning. Wanted to wait until tomorrow as Wednesday's have been up days as of late, but with a 5 day run up... just thinking I would like to try to keep some of my pennies in the piggy. I still think we could have more downside but will see.... anything can happen in this crazy market!! Still ... it would be nice if today would stay even or higher... hoping not to have it slide down too much today before the close. I'm locked in now!!!!

    Best Wishes to Everyone!!!!!

If we fill that GAP below I might think about going back into the Market, we will see.

Not to get off topic but I took care of business!! Finally….. Meet the new love in my life!! The Midnight Rocker! Lol… I got it two Saturdays ago, but just took pictures this past weekend (Sun finally came out).

It is a 2015 Challenger, Jazz Blue (it is dark blue with metallic blue sparkles that every now and then gives off a hint of purple somehow—love it -with a high mirror finish.. had a hard time taking a good pic as it picks up everything) with a v6, ~306 horsepower – more than I will ever need… I have already scared myself a few times in it… punching it and seeing how long I could keep the pedal to the metal. I had not even gotten it home from San Antonio when a guy in a truck started revving his engine at a stop light… Of course I had to floor it--- I whole-shot him.. but I knew he wanted to see it launch. I must say I was more excited than I thought I would be.

What I love most is the plus sound system-- Alpine, 9-speaker system. Wow! I’ve not heard a stereo that great since I was a “yungun”. It figures the first song that came on as I left the place with my sister was Van Halen’s Panama followed by Boston---yes I had it blasting as loud as it would go.

It is loaded: leather seats (red on black), Performance group with performance suspension, performance power steering and performance brakes, plus a moon roof (always wanted one of those) and backup camera, large screen, satellite radio, seat “coolers” (great for this hot Texas weather), heated seat/steering wheel, GPS, button for 911, assist, Bluetooth for phone, automatic remote startup, and what I really really wanted, the 20” inch graphite wheels with Good Year tires.

I didn’t know cars had this but when you open the door the window cracks down about 1/8” before you open it and then it goes back up automatically after you shut the door to protect the seal. That is so cool! Plezz…give me a little break if you all already knew about this… it’s been a very very long time since I had a new car.

It’s automatic 8-speed but it has the “Paddle shifters” on the steering wheel for manual shifting….Now that really makes me happy! Best of all... the adventures of DBAnnie have just begun!! lol Yes... a mid-life crisis buy... but why not? Can't take it with you!
