Around the Reef- Afternoon Comments

Despite what looked like mundane action on the broad indices, under the hood the Bulls continued to have their way with good action in select stocks. Breadth was flat, and volume was modest, but momentum continued to reign in technology and small caps. The Semiconductors stole the show today and after several days of strength metals and oil took a breather. Action like this bodes well for the health of a sustained rally as we would like to see leadership properly positioned in tech.

Shark HQ remained busy today and we hope you were able to take advantage of some ideas we sent your way. Our list of stocks that look tempting continues to be lengthy and should Mr. Market stick around for some more spirits, we’ll continue to send Shark Bites and look to do some Sharkfolio tweaking.

All and all the market looks healthy and it looks as though many were caught off guard by surprising strength these first 3 days of 2006. With a slight pullback or rest, we will be watching closely to see if dip buyer emerge to take advantage of weakness.

It is hard not to feel a little anxious after seeing some good gains these past few days. Should you be feeling that way, remember it never hurts to book some partial profits and turn paper gains in to real money. Seems to be the cure for us.

Have a good evening
