mlk_man vs Technician - censure?

I'm not one to deny free speech but I think the battle between mlk_man and the Technician is way too beneath this board.

Imagine you are someone new and you are so glad to have found some really down to earth information on handling your TSP fund (or at least other viewpoints even if you don't agree.)

Then you happen across the threads with these two having their ridiculous battle. Wouldn't it lessen your opinion of the board?

It certainly has gotten tiresome trying to filter through their juvenile banter.

I disagree. This is what the thread is all about. It's pretty obvious by the title that there is some sort of competition going on. I don't see a problem at all.

And by the way I have been warning Tom about letting the Sugarandspice talk thread continue because it is truly a waste of time and scares people off on a daily basis.

It's one thing for people to take their infighting to a seperate thread. It's another to have to wade through it in a thread dedicated to a given fund.

I'm not talking about the thread that has MLK_MAN vs Techy in the subject. I agree, at least that warns you somewhat. I'm talking about all those other posts that are in the middle of some threads such as I-Fund or G-Fund where the reader is hoping for some real information. (If they would keep in inside their own "member talk" threads, that would be fine as well.)

I also am not talking about those threads where some are genuinely critical of Technician's claims and call him on it. That is VERY legitimate IMO.

This is probably a losing battle but I just wanted to see if anyone else is as irritated as I am. I will probably have to ignore Technician and MLK_MAN as suggested but sadly, they do have some real contributions now and then. You just have to wade thru so much trash to get to it. Waste of bandwidth IMO.
