Secular Market Definition | Investopedia
I've never heard this term before. But, I've seen it a few times on this & other forums in the last day or two & several times on TV this morning.
What does secular mean in this context?
As a side note, hearing it so many times recently almost feels like a sell signal to me. LOL

Seular markets trend up or down for long periods of time (usually 5 years or more). A lot of analysts believe we are in the beginnings of a secular bull market right now. You can have secular bear or secular bull markets. There are also cyclical marlets. RMI's advice is best, you can read about in numerous locations.
Is today Saturday again?
Yeah, I actually read that page before posting here. I still wanted to ask here since that page defines it, but doesn't really explain it. I guess my understanding of the term "secular" makes any description of the market as secular seem a little redundant.
Keep googling - you'll find it.
