I paid $12.45 on Amazon which looks like an automatic discount. Do these discounts affect her take or is that pre-negotiated no matter what they sell it for?

I'm not really sure to be honest. I'll have to ask her. I see that Barnes and Noble charges the same price. I do know that she gets a better cut when books are ordered through her publisher (Booklocker), so perhaps this is why. The local grocery store here has agreed to carry the book once we get an order in and have to negotiate a discount with them. We might need to start selling them out of the trunk of our car like John Grisham did. Booklocker is a POD (print on demand) type publisher, but there is no long term contract or anything so she hopes to be picked up by a major publisher at some point.
