Default Since the TSP-50 have been sent for those unfortunate

how long has it taken for their ift's to hit meaning the desired changes going into effect. Has it been 5 business days or longer since the beginning with the date of the form sent just out of curiousity.

You mean no one on this board has sent in an IFT to get an idea of how long it takes to get the IFT implemented???? through the snail mail?? You have to be kidding. There is only a few bucks left in my relatives' account (they are in the process of a complete distribution) and I sent an IFT regular mail return receipt requested on Wednesday the 2nd of last week and it still has not been implemented. Am I the only one who has done this and have some degree of curiousity of how long this process will take??

According to the IFT of the day autotracker- we have one person who has reported:

TSPgo-hi-risk-- IFT mailed on 4/2/08 from SC.

He has recorded it in autotracker as "effective 4/7"

You'll have to PM him and ask if that means it was showing up today, or if it will show up tomorrow.

I put the envelope in the mail last Wednesday and it hasn't shown up in my account yet. Tomorrow morning maybe? How about Friday? In Italy it was dopo domani which I found to mean the next day that may or may not ever come. Will let you know when it pops... probably on a great day up!!

Sent IFT on Tuesday, April 1st, mailed about 2:30 p.m. e.s.t. outside of postoffice, from Laurel, MD, near Wash. D.C. IFT is not affective/effective(?) as of this morning, Apr 8th...regular mail, no return receipt requested.

What a deal. No way for the restricted people to make timely transfers and the proposed rule should not even be effective yet.

Looks like more lawsuits to me.

Need a paper trail - they can say they hadn't received it yet or something. I take it the mailing isn't tracked.

I wouldn't mind the restriction so much if I could still move back to the G fund electronically if I felt the need. Five plus days to make a snail-mail transfer is not worth the effort and anxiety it causes. If the market goes to pot (or turns around and goes positive), you are screwed by the lag time.

Since I was "trapped" in C,S, and I funds due to having to attend a morning meeting, and if Oscar and others are correct in their assessment of the current situation, I will have Mr. Long and the Board to thank for my loses and for extending my Federal career by at least an extra 6 years.

Well I checked the Tsp account and the change is going through today 04/09 so it took a about 5 business days to go through. They are also allowing a change to the ift %'s sent in. I haven't key that in yet but will see if they allow a change for the %'s from the tsp-50 sent in or if the originial tsp-50's are set in stone for the change today.

I also was wondering if you could make a change online? I didn't try it until after the noon cutoff

Well I tried to change %'s for the Tsp-50 I sent in but set in stone. They will not allow a change from what they received in snailmail. I had a feeling they wouldn't let that slip through so easily where you could send in a daily TSP-50 form every day and change it as received and implemented.
