More strength. I am going against the grain but I'd rather get out on strength than be caught in a down draft. This morning I will make another interfund transfer going 70% G, 30% S fund.

Good move. We know what happens on treasury debt days.

Hopefully the strength holds up after lunch for you.

Yep! Them down drafts really suck! Will be going 60/40 this AM. Did you notice that we have been getting 2 days up and 1 day down lately. Spaf

Thanks. With 50% in G and50% in the stock funds (70/30 Wednesday) I wasn't sure exactly how I wanted today to end. I was actually relieved to see it basically flat.

I was amazed it paid .02 cents?

Glad to see you not be in during treasury auction days.

Last couple you had the old kick in the groin.

Fun to watch from the sides when the DOW is down 191 (last 10 year treasury auction or it could of been the one prior to that. I believe the last one the DOW was up 80 and ended down 40 or something) - which is this Thursday. I could of LIED :P. Just got to much going on right now to research fully. Just wanted to throw the treasury tidbit out there. Not good to be in stocks this whole year and most of the end of last year on treasury auction days. China/Hong Kong/Taiwan/Japan, etc, etc have not been stepping to the plate. At 3.9 yield or whatever I would not take that 10 year risk either. Just buy a6 month bill for nearly the same yield with only 6 month of risk vice an additional 9 years 6 months of risk. (Flashback September 1987)

Flying to Singapore in six hours and need to so some shopping here prior to that. Shopand mail and rush to the airport to beprobed from within (again).

G fund - what is the deal?

I fund - what is the deal?

I can not figure any of these funds out anymore.

 I shorted all the indexes at noon and will hold my short through Thursday close and bail for the weekend. Could see a bounce to get the "new bull market starts on Monday" talk again. Love Mondays. Some of the biggest down day have be on Monday after a little Friday bounce.

Then they touch the fence again......zap....

YOu have a great site and a great head on your shoulders.

    Enjoyable commentary!
Anyhow - have a great day!

Smart money was shorting around noon .

USD dollar strength, the price of oil and our automakers should make for a griddy trade balance report tomorrow at 1000. :s

Yesterday was probably a bad signal - strong buying early followed by selling late. My amateur guess is the herd bought and the institutional investors sold.
