Thread: Autotracker for dummies?

    Default Autotracker for dummies?

Is there something that explains auto tracker and why I should be using it? I am clueless as a new person.

    Read through this thread:

It's a good way to watch what others are doing and a fun way to watch your performance against others.

Most people do their "real life trades" and mirror them in the autotracker.

I personally use it to watch the "high performers" and rationalize their movements.

Okay I see that AUTOTRACKER is considered entertainment for those who want to share their return rates monthly, and yearly. With some kind of prize for the highest return. Also see that a lot list not many IFT so there must be some good balance that folks are currently maintaining to maximize interest accumulation.

Being so new would be nice to see what that percentage split is between funds. Would like to make my first IFT my last for a while, accepting major market problems.

Frixxxxxx - okay entered my allocation percentages but of course silly me did not enter my beginning balances. Do suspect my auto tracker first activity will be rejected.

    Default Autotracker for dummies?

Also can I look at others percentages of allocations in the auto tracker ? Or is this just to show their results. For the month and year ?

There are no balances, it is a performance based system. Depending on your allocation and subsequent performance will determine the ending value for the day.

I assume you've clicked on other peoples names in th AT to determine their current allocations. Those who are not on a premium plan will be displayed. Those on a premium plan will not. (You gotta pay to see those moves.)

The recent IFT's of premium members won't show for anybody because of the multiple services. If some one pays for a service they will know what the suggested allocations.

Okay so IFT percentages on AUTOTRACKER is blind numbers for all premium members. Which yes I know that means they are likely following the suggested allocation.

But is AUTOTRACKER not also a way to discuss allocation strategy ideas? When you are doing well? Or is this just a " I am better than you" kind of statistic game ?

That's what the Account Talk threads are for... To talk strategy, etc. But if you are following a premium service's allocations you have to be careful about what you post and brag about.

The AutoTracker is for your own personal information (to know your return), also to see what others are doing, and to make sure those who are bragging have the numbers to back it up.

Is it possible to GAME THE NUMBERS with AUTOTRACKER ? Maybe not if you can only do two trades a month. Suppose it would make me want to look at ACCOUNT TALK definitely and post with neutral reference to personal strategy.
