    Default TSP Board Minutes highlights

Below are the highlights of the May minutes. To see the minutes go to:

Interesting note - but we all knew this:
Mr. Long added that John Bogle from Vanguard had commented on a radio program that the TSP is possibly the best savings vehicle in America today.

The I-fund continues to have high trading cost and high tracking error. This has been caused by the delay and FV's.

We are not yet being charged more to own the I-fund, but it may come to that in the future. The board has discussed it in the past. Luckily the overall expense has gone down each year so there has been a less obvious need. Earlier in the year the trading cost for the I-fund was positive due to an FV guess that caused participants to significantly over pay to buy into the I-fund.

    Interesting graphic on the G-fund.

There was some discussion on the divestment bill...

    Other tidbits:

Voted to send out an Annual Participant Statement.

23% of participants have changed their password so far under the stronger participant password criteria. I'd suggest that these are the frequent users.

There was more in the report but it is mind numbingly boring. I suggest reading these things if you have trouble sleeping at night.
