It's not as mysterious. It's all in the "I"'s.
I really like the effort and useful information that many of you provide to this Board. I was wondering why nobody takes on a similar role on the "S" Fund Board? Just curious...
It's not as mysterious. It's all in the "I"'s.
Make it happen.
Please move this thread to the S fund section.
A lot of the interest in the I-fund because it is rather complex. Overseas market plus US dollar movement implications. Add to that the fact that we do not have a good ticker for the I-fund. This posting of where the I-fund is (member driven ticker) drives traffic to the I-fund thread. There is an S-fund thread, it just doesn't get the same attention. I tend to talk about C&S fund stuff in the current market talk thread.

FWIW - there was an S fund guru named wheels on the board for sometime. He used to harangue constantly against the virtues of the C fund and did not favor my tendentiousness for the C fund. He butted up against one of our less prominent moderators and chose to exit. I do miss his attention, though.
Interesting open this morning. "S" fund is not doing as well as "C" fund. That shows me the strength in "C", and indicates, at least to me, that perhaps the overstrength is not as strong as it looked in the last couple days.
We could have a very good day today, but if the "C" fund continues to lead the way, the I may slip some out of stocks and into safety later today.
We'll see how this pans out.
The break could be to the upside here, but I don't think it will last a long time. Perhaps just some more volitility in the mix for the week.
Does the S Fund have a good ticker to trace? Is there information on the companies in the S fund? I've been looking unsuccessfully. I like the I fund too and as you drawn to it. But we should use all the weapons in our arsenal to succeed. Look at what occurred today with the I fund. What if the I Fund's .22 had been hit with a -.12 FV? Not so nice is it. The S fund has no -FV or +FV. Being honest I jump from one fund to the next.
Whichever one is making the money. I know but the S Fund has been just sitting there like an old shoe. Help!!
The yahoo ticker to trace the "S" fund is found down at the bottom of this page. Scroll all the way down and see the Wilshire 4500, or , more properly:
