if you look at the stats you will see both tsptalk and kuz are on average better than me. why don't they have more points then? got to put in the time, got to grind.
here is a secret... poker is a volume business. at any given hand i can get rivered. over 100 hands i can get rivered, a lot. over 1,000 hands the rivers start to even out a bit. over 100,000 hands the math trumps the luck. over one million hands my return should be above the bar. if your average is not higher than average over the long haul, then there is something you could do better. there is always something you could do better.
what could be done better?
talk more crap? take your clothes off? learn to calculate odds tighter? slow down or speed up timing? speak with your bet sizes? cuddle and coochie someone to distract and get them to lay off? lots of things i suppose if you think of it that way.
a winning record over time is not an accident. there is no way to fake that in a fair game. the numbers speak for themselves. otherwise we would all just play the slots.

All I can say to that is, I'm better than I once was, and do believe EA is as well, and the stats do show the improvement. this game, each and every time, offers chance to practice and improve-some angle. there are many many angles that can always be improved, just not all of them at the same time, it comes together slowly, with study and practice. When improvement can be demonstrated while in company of better players, the less-experienced can actually tell they are getting better at the game. motivation and encouragement. good that we play tournament seasons and track over time, thanks to Kuz.

i play every night.

So I misspoke in the game apparently... Stu was in 1st place with a 1.61 point lead going into tonights game. And in a 6 person game, 1st place gets 2.9 points, and 2nd gets 1.46 points... a 1.44 difference. So I thought when stu got 2nd, he'd locked it up tonight.... But I hadn't accounted for dropped points. Since this would put stu at 13 games, his lowest 3 are dropped, which is 0.31 points from the game on06/19/17 (0.24 and 0.31 were already dropped). So stu only increased his total by 1.15 points. Which means I gained 1.75 points on him.
