remember when the salesman would come to the door and if your family had a good year you could afford to buy all the knowledge in the world and proudly display the books on the shelf in your living room as proof? and you could plagarize all your homework just by rewriting some of that stuff down because there was no way your teacher could afford a set?

now it is wikipedia instead, and if someone says it on the internet it must be true.

now it is "ill txt u".

crazy. everybody has a pocket computer and they're happy to see you, on facebook.

"will you go to the prom with me?".

these days it is "so, do you wanna twerk?".

* "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" now it is "they ought to"/"I want"
*except around military bases where patriotism still lives

* "but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!" now it is "anything for security"

Used to be people had a "boyfriend" or " girlfriend" .... Now they have " friends with benefits" .

i used to walk down to the electric company and write a check out to the lady at the counter.

what is a check? what is a counter? what is walking?

now the website only accepts credit cards and makes me push the 'submit' button to pay. these details are not lost on me.

I still say "thank you" (ma'am or sir), but I'm a Southerner.

I should say, almost no one says girlfriend or boyfriend except Steve Holy as he did get a "Brand New Girlfriend" !!!

Ha, I'm still analog about quite a few things. I still pay by check for all my utilities, for one. I pay more attention to outgo that way. And being raised half southern, I still say thank you and ma'am and sir, when appropriate.
