can somebody with knowledge of wine help me?
i opened a new checking account with my credit union and in the mail with my checks (does anybody even use checks anymore) comes a gift card for $100 off a purchase of at minimum 6 bottles totalling $160 delivered free to my door (which is red and unlocked by the way, faith, or trap, you decide).
but i am a coor's light guy and know nothing about wine except for it gives me a headache. do they still come in boxes with foil bags? is this a good deal?
"$100 wine voucher, nakedwines.com"
thanks for any input.

oh man, this has got to be a total scam. all the cases of best seller wines cost between $99.99 and $159.99. which means i have to order a 7th or 13th bottle with extra shipping and handling charges i am sure, just to get my free cheap wine, so confusing.
best case scenario is i get 12 bottles of wine for $60, but the pricing and shipping structure indicates it will cost me way more than $5 per bottle.
i can get a 6pack of cheap beer for about $5 locally, no shipping or california *** (potential same sex mariage candidates) hassles.
hmmmm.
cost/value analysis: what is average alcohol content of cheap wine?
thanks.
No input, but yes, wine does help.
"Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends...
The wines offered are quality, house wines but of recent vintage. Drink them now, who cares? Leave them in a wine fridge for about 4-5 years, then they taste much better. Go for the reds and Cabs they recommend.
There are great whites and we enjoy them, but most people that come over to our house don't know the difference between a premium white and Four Buck Chuck.
nobody comes over to my house, and even if they did i am not offering them wine. i am going to order some discount wine. the card is good until 30 june 2015. i'm interested in suggestions about how to spend my free money. thanks.

i had an uncle in law one time, he made the best blackberry wine you could ever dream. but it was really just blackberries salvaged from public right of ways (in oregon of all places) and vodka in old milk jugs left out in the sun.
but if you had a couple cups and tried to stand up fast from the camp chair you quickly would find yourself horizontal again, hopefully not in the fire. that is why i mostly only drink beer now.
his name is fuzzy, i never go over there anymore.

Do you remember if the blackberry wine was sweet or more dry? Wine has a higher alcohol content than beer (2x-3x) so I can see the result. Sometimes it takes a while to find a wine you like, but you can use bottles of wine as gifts ... if the recipient does not like, they just re-gift. The wine does not go bad. Just an idea, if you are not really interested to find a wine you like. Your first post was funny and I actually thought you were kidding.
Just go to the local Liquor store or supermarket , no shipping! Drink on!winepoor.gif
i have decided not to enter the world of wine. because then i would just end up buying wine racks and uncorkers and candles to put in the empty bottles when i'm done with them. i am sticking with coor's light as it's a fixed cost and easy to budget for with no surprises.
obx, pm me if you want the code and password for the $100 off deal, it says it is only good for new customers.
