Woman walks into own funeral to surprise of husband who had paid to have her killed

Rukundo’s ordeal began almost exactly a year ago, when she flew from her home in Melbourne with her husband, Kalala, to attend a funeral in her native Burundi. Her stepmother had died and the service left her saddened and stressed. She retreated to her hotel room in Bujumbura, the capital, early in the evening; despondent after the events of the day, she lay down in bed. Then her husband called.
“He told me to go outside for fresh air,” she told the BBC.

Rukundo had met her husband 11 years earlier, right after she arrived in Australia from Burundi, according to the BBC. He was a recent refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and they had the same social worker at the resettlement agency that helped them get on their feet. Since Kalala already knew English, their social worker often recruited him to translate for Rukundo, who spoke Swahili.

Despite all that, “I will stand up like a strong woman,” she said. “My situation, my past life? That is gone. I’m starting a new life now.”
these refugees handle their version of justice in way different ways than we are used to.

    you go girl.

Man lives to 107 'by only drinking red wine'

Antonio Docampo García drank up to four bottles of homemade red wine each day

A recently-deceased 107-year-old Spanish attributed his long-life to drinking four bottles of wine each day and never drinking water.
Antonio Docampo García, who died last week in Vigo, northwestern Spain, said he only imbibed his own homemade red wine.
Mr Docampo would drink two bottles of red wine with his lunch and another two with dinner.
"He could drink a liter and a half all at once," his son, Miguel Docampo López told La Voz de Galicia.
"When we were both at home we could get through 200 litres of wine a month," he added. "He never drank water."[more]

'Topless' Salma Hayek rushed to emergency room | Fox News Latino

Hayek captioned the image, in both English and Spanish: “I had to be rushed from set to the ER for a minor head injury. Unfortunately my wardrobe for the scene was completely inappropriate for the hospital.
honey you gonna get more than a minor noggin knock injury here, unless the headboard in the hotel is padded.

Female tiger killed by mating partner at Sacramento Zoo | Fox News
A Sumatran female tiger was killed at the Sacramento Zoo by her mating partner Wednesday after the two felines were put in the same enclosure for breeding, zoo officials said. The male tiger became aggressive with the 15-year-old Baha minutes after a physical introduction, the zoo said in a statement.
are tiger years like dog years? was this basically a 105-year old tigress? isn't that a little old for that kind of horseplay? and what are they doing putting them in an 'enclosure for breeding'? what is that, is that like bedroom or something? crazy stuff. maybe they should've just gave them some catnip and a sixpack of beer and dropped them off in the woods down a country road for a couple hours or something.

Exclusive: Oregon occupiers warn authorities of booby traps at refuge

"They spoke to us about booby traps. We don't know how sophisticated or what kind," said the official, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
ok, i know this is a sensitive topic for both hardcore freedom lovers and law enforcement, but seriously, doesn't anybody speak english anymore? why the disconnect between forces and misunderstandings and brewhaha? please, allow me to translate, i have some experience in eastern oregon plain talk.

when the campers said they left behind 'booby traps' and the authorties got confused about the sophistication of the 'booby traps', they weren't talking about bombs. well sort of about bombs, but not the blow up kind just the regular kind all girls have to some extent.

why didn't the protesters just say sandra anderson didn't have time to pack up all her bras before she surrendered? and why would the cops even care how sophisticated they were or if they came from jcpenney or victorias secret?

crazy stuff. booby traps. always get folks into trouble. obviously these clueless media reporters haven't spent much time in an oregon trailer park.
