Kittens and Puppies are always so cute, it's a shame they grow up.

our cat likes to be let out at night. then i can hear her fighting and howling with the tomcats. in the morning when she wants in she rubs against my legs like 'what'? does she think i don't know? it gets hair all over my work pants and ticks me off and makes me think about cooking up some mongolian beef for supper.

    it's a lucky cat.

we named it elizabeth. when the howling gets too loud i stand out on the porch in my shorts and holler 'here lizzy, come here elizabeth, come home liz!'

it makes my neighbor mad too. his wife's name is elizabeth.

I'm to report sadly that the little kitten didn't work out...

First; Buster just didn't come to terms with her..There was a very strained mood with Buster and he just didn't like her..The hissing and growling was not going to get better.

Second; and the reason I had to return her to the original owner...I had her completely checked out by my Vet, and one test came back positive for FIV antibodies…This is the feline equivalent to HIV...She may have just had the antibodies passed on by her mother, but the Vet said she was not contagious yet or she may be fine and another test in 6 months would prove it one way or the other..But I was not going to worry with heartache wondering...And I sure didn't want Buster to get it if she did ever become contagious...

Thanks for the thanks and well wishes...

studies have shown that the FIV virus is harmless to humans when treated with salt, pepper, garlic and sterilized at 350 degrees on the middle rack for 90 minutes. drizzle the pan with olive oil, cover with foil, and serve with rice.

Sorry to hear about your sad cat story, I have rescued many cats/kittens over the years and am back to kittens only. Several adult cats had behavior issues and we/cat suffered as it would be too expensive to hire animal behaviorist to try and retrain. It is probably good that the kitten was returned if it was showing showing aggression issues. I did rescue a kitten that was very sick with feline virus, after initial expensive vet bill, four years later Misha is healthy except for claw laser removal which I wont do again.

I just purchase a Snowshoe Siamese kitten, Izzy and love her. We got her at six weeks old and she was able to integrate with rescue Chihuahua and they are best buddies. The Brussels loves her too but she loves everyone!! Good luck on your next pet!

Latest in my quest for a Kitty:

I just picked up another Kitten..he is a certified and documented Maine Coon and is totally checked out/shots and is clean as a whistle...comes from champion bloodlines

Very sweet, gentle and mellow...nothing seems to matter except being with you or on you..a perfect little mild mannered little 7 week old baby boy I named Leo..

Buster and his jury are still out..but Buster doesn't seem as up-tight like he did with the little girl I tried, but also acting not too interested either, a couple of hisses and that was all.....So everyone is saying..it will take a week or more for Buster to get use to him..I hope not longer
