The Senate agreement includes no major alterations to the 2010 health-care law. But the deal will include one minor change sought by Republicans, setting new procedures to verify the incomes of some people receiving government subsidies for health-insurance costs. Negotiators rejected a Democratic proposal to delay for one year a fee of $63 per insured person levied on groups that offer health policies, including employers, labor unions and insurance carriers—a fee opposed by many large employers and unions. The agreement does includes backpay for all federal workers who were furloughed during the government shutdown.

does anybody know by what time the measure must pass in order for them to require me to report to work tomorrow? when they laid me off they said once we get funding to reopen we will call you back to work the next day. does that mean if they call me after business hours today then they really can't count it as calling me until tomorrow and so i report on friday?

Take the rest of the week off and don't answer the phone and wait until next Monday to see what's happening....You've earned it..

The President will sign it tomorrow, PROVIDED it passes both houses tonight. I am told that the
House has to pass it first, then the Senate can (all appropriations must originate in the House) and only then
will it be transmitted to the President for signature.
I think it will be safe for you to plan on sleeping in tomorrow, Burro.
I know I got two giant beer cans (Fosters) -

and I'm going to open and drink the first one when it passes the House, and the other one when it passes the Senate.
They are both getting cold now.
God bless the United States of America!
Yes, hope all that were furloughed are off until Monday!!! I am so grateful for being able to retire at age 56 over a year ago. My heart goes out to all of you that were furloughed and the poor chaps who have to work. The last time we were furloughed 17 years ago I was on maternity leave. I do not miss any of the stress or the government style of owning your soul while I was employed by the feds. It is a tragic comedy witnessing both parties in Washington dig our country's future into the ground. In retirement I am 100 % in stocks which is risky but has paid off finally this year for me.

President to sign tonight
Source: TPM
Federal employees furloughed as a result of the government shutdown should expect to return to work tomorrow morning, Office of Management and Budget director Sylvia Matthews Burwell announced in a statement on Wednseday night.
"Now that the bill has passed the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, the President plans to sign it tonight and employees should expect to return to work in the morning," Burwell said in a statement moments after the House passed a deal to avert default and reopen the government. "Employees should be checking the news and OPM's website for further updates."
