Thread: L2040...?

    Default L2040...?

Is the L2040 bad? I have been doing some reading and it sounds like some think that L2040 is about to head into some bad times. I am only 27 so I dont plan on retiring for at least 30 more years. Is it bad to have all your money tied up in this?

Who else out there has 2040 as their Choice of TSP? Why and Why not?

The L2040 is great for someone your age. It is specifically designed for you. Buy it and hold it. Don't worry about the market's ups and downs.

Bad times are good times for you. You get to buy stocks at bargain basement prices. By the time you retire, they, and the L2040, should have appreciated very nicely.

The nice thing about the L Funds is that they are rebalanced daily. David Swensen, Yale's endowment manager, recommends frequent re-balancing.

I wish I would have started saving at your age! Good luck.----Jim
