    For everyone's general information.

I sent a interfund transfer via snail mail on Thursday from my local post office here in SC. It still has not hit the tsp system. It looks like a minimum of at least 4 business days to arrive and post. I was hoping to get out of the I fund before earnings started to hit, no such luck.

My next test will be to overnight it so it arrives before 11 a.m. Then see how long it takes to post.

Anybody else have any luck with snail mail yet ?

I purchased delivery confirmation so I know when they get it.

Anidoc, I think they have us all by the **** or **** for the ladies. I don't see any action against them coming. I have signed the petition, and have had my friends sign also. I think the best we can hope for with anythig against the FRTB is 3 transfers per month. It will be very hard to prove and put together anything to get them to re-emburse? (spelling isn't my thing) us for delays or not being able to market time or anything.

Do you know what I mean ?

    What do you think ?

I also think that the 500 BRAVE ONES (snail mailers) should file a class action suit because there is no legal basis for the restrictions that have been forced upon them. The interim rule is flawed in many ways. And last but not least the 500 WILL PREVAIL and be reimbursed their losses with interests. They just have to go for it. It is not legal to penalize someone for following existing law and not heeding a threat to impose restrictions if you don't follow a proposed law that isn't on the books yet. The interim rule does NOT supercede existing law, as the existing law has not been rescinded, repealed, or changed YET. FRTIB is wrong.

Years ago people were reimbursed for being in the wrong retirement plan (CSRS vs FERS). There's also been some reimbursements for late postings. However, I'm not sure if OPM, TSP, or the responsible agencies had to reimburse in the first case, or if the agencies or TSP had to reimburse for the late postings.
Count me in on any action, I sent mine last night via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, should arrive within 1 or 2 days (Georgia to Alabama)...I cannot even move to G on-line, NOTHING!!! A total bunch of BS, I have signed the petition as has my wife...Let me know what else we can do...Thanks, EA

I agree with the overnight, that is also my next step after i see how long it takes once the Priority Mail is received....Mr_BOOOOM, have you checked the Delivery Confirmation to see if it has been delivered yet??? (Remember these go to a PO Box, could someone in Birmingham drop it at the Post Office at 9 Am and have it in the system by Noon?!?!?!?!?!? I doubt it...)...

I think there is the very real possibility that some well connected TSP'ers will have daily access whilst the rest of the majority us do not.
    ~100% S fund since Feb 2012~

Chris, a supervisor at TSP, confirmed that the "IFT by mail sanction" had been lifted on me because of my request. I also had a different TSP employee effect a IFT funds to "F" and then confirm the IFT. I later had TSP cancel the trade to save my 2 IFTs. The abatement may have been because I stated that, although I did not receive the warning letter not to trade, I was nonetheless sanctioned and did receive the certified letter. Also, possibly because I only had 4 trades during Jan, Feb, 2008.

I found this out today 4/8/08, at 11:30am, as a result my call to TSP to let them know how much money I had lost in potential gains, since April 1, as a result of its sanction.

Note, I tell the supervisor that because no such information appears on the TSP site that I would post what, in effect, I am posting now.

Obviously, my advice is to fax in your request, site low trades, if applicable. And, state that you didn't get the warning letter (if applicable) or that you didn't understand the criteria.

You may want to test with a IFT anyway.

Good Luck - see you back on the tracking board.
