If I'm keeping track of the market, say through Yahoo Finance, how do I know which of the TSP funds are in the Dow, S&P etc.?

Take a gander at the charts at the bottom of this web page.

userque is right, just scroll to the bottom and view the 4 yahoo charts. They are even labeled for you.

If you want more info check out:
    Thrift savings Plan Funds
    or
    https://www.tsp.gov/investmentfunds/...entFunds.shtml

Also, you may want to check out this thread:
    http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/members-ac...lk-thread.html

as you seem to have a lot of questions (a great thing!) but its not necessary to create a new thread for each of them.
