It seems that all of technical analysis with TSP is to inform what to do with 2 actions: buying or holding. So if there is a good understanding of when to buy: which indicators, what time frame, what relationships, et al, then a large portion of the analytical process would be finished. This thread looks to develop a list of those buy triggers, experiences when they worked or when they didnt, and the space between.

(I intentionally left off selling actions, because selling is the inverse of buying. If you exclude the payroll contributions, all TSP transactions have a zero sum gain. The extension of this is then that to sell something, you also have to also buy a corresponding something. Its a semantical debate, and I wouldnt be surprised if there is disagreement, but interesting in my opinion.)
