You have recently started several controversial threads that can become difficult to moderate (and that's OK). Prior to the election, your signature that referred to prosecuting Bush for murder could have been considered offensive to some, but it was a sexual joke that offended you (I only mention it because you already did). So by reporting a post, you have shown that even you have a limit to what you believe is acceptable. Your complaint was justified, so we acted. Personally, I find a sexual joke less offensive than berating the president, but that's why we all have to be careful. We never know who might be offended by something we say.
So the point of my post was to defend ourselves against being accused of censorship. I am not censoring you or those who want a political thread. I was just making the point as to why it may not be in our best interest to create a political thread, because things can get out of hand when talking about controversial subjects and some people can be offended, and you never know who that person will be.
Well, I guess you made a fair case
But equating a political statement with a dirty sexual joke - I'll have to think about that one.
Anyway, I'm not that invested in a political thread - just thought it might be a good idea. I know it was an emotional thread and I think we did pretty good by it (minus the dirty sexual jokes - lol)
