    Default FOREX (Foreign Exchange) trading

A friend of mine recently told me about the Forex investment training class that he just took. It brought to my attention as it is so dynamic and it can be traded 24 hours daily for 5 and ½ days during the week. One can make some good money and one can lose it all.

It seems that there are members here know about the daily fluctuation of currencies. I just wonder if there will be such thread ever created.

Hi Ocean! Are you psychic or what? I just saw an advertisement about Forex Exchange yesterday night and I immediately thought, "maybe I could ask Ocean if he has been on one of those free workshops." And voila, here you are talking about Forex. I was mulling on studying a little more about Stock Index Futures, but after seeing those Forex Exchange commercials, I think the ebb tracker is more in line and suited for it. Since the dollar is one the variables that the ebb tracker tracks, I would think that using it to follow the dollar's trend against the foreign currencies is a natural. I'm going to find out more about the Forex when I have more time. Who knows, it may turn out to be the ebb tracker's real calling.

Great idea. I started some sub-forums under Financial Planning Talk / Investment Portfolios called; Individual Stocks, Trading Currencies and Mutual Funds ... http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/investment-portfolios/

    Will that work?

    Thanks Tom,

I think that's a great idea. Being a realitive newbie, to the world of finance, it's been like taking a drink from the proverbial firehose and any info is very helpful. There is a lot of great insight that the guru's so freely share with us here and for the first time I feel that I actually have some control over my TSP and other investments, besides just letting them ride and hope something good happens.

Keep up the great work guys, there's a bunch of folks out here just like me, that really appreciates all the hard work ya'll do.

    Tom,

It’s scary if we think in the same wave length but it is a joy that we all have a common interest in creating our financial wealth (sounds very commercial). Good idea to create the sub-forums. Can you make the link in bold so it can be spotted a bit easier. From the investment portfolios, I just saw MM raised the Forex trading question on 5/22. Apparently it now becomes more popular.

Also, ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) may be another good sub-forum to get started. It is traded like a stock but it is similar to index fund. The percentage of returns on those emerging market funds make the I fund faded. But caution is the key word.

Welcome aboard, CountryBoy. I feel the same about this site as folks here are willing to share.

Tom, have you noticed that the tone of the TSP forum has been so cohesive and harmonized recently. Way to go …

    Wheels,

You have a strong voice in this forum and a strong portfolio also. When you speak, people listen. We need you to be a police for this forum if you know what I mean.

    Grandma,

Please keep those delightful comments coming in. We all like to read it.

Like where have all the gold bugs gone - back under ground like the Lizard. Crissakes I think he could even find something negative today to say - but it was always the same old chit. I know my sphincter feels better. Couldn't go out of the house without being followed. Snort.

    Birch,

Can you repeat that again. I don't quite follow.

Hey, I realize that your C fund is on top of all other funds lately. Congrats. BTW, I will post my TSP balance at the end of this quarter in my thread.
