I will be working on a forum issue that has been around a while and has caused a big problem with our Facebook integration. Those of you who go to our Facebook page may know what I mean, and it has to be fixed, but it's a tricky one.
The reason it is tricky is that I have to uninstall one of our "plug-in" features that has been very useful here, but it is no longer being supported by the programmers, and it has bugs.
What will change?
The "Like" feature will no longer be working. No more Liking posts. It seemed to be popular so I may have to find some kind of a replacement, but the old reputation feature is still active in the meantime.
The other issue is it may screw up some links, which is really not fun. The "Friendly" URLs will be renamed and some old links to the forum may not work until we find them and change them all.
So, we will likely take the forum down periodically this weekend while we take care of these issues. Your patience is appreciated.
Thanks!
Tom

I personally don't like the like feature, so it's no big loss.
Sometimes I like what the person said, but I don't like the person
Other times I don't like what the person said but feel an obligation to like the person
Then there are those times when I don't like what the person said, but I like how they said it
Much of the time I'll like a post, only to acknowledge that I read the post, so they know I'm not ignoring them
I really like the like function!! I like to like just what I like for a variety of reasons! Then, there are times I like something but can't like it for a variety of reasons...go figure.
I've never given an unlike as that's not very likable. But more importantly, the likes are a great positive reinforcement so what's not to like???

I like "like" also.
Keeps morale up...people know if something they posted was a big hit with others.

No problem! It will only increase my post count as I post those single word posts: "Like".
