Don't care
It could be a Java thing as James talked about at the beginning of the thread. You may need to make sure you have a recent version installed...
You can check what version of Java you have here:

I tried to like your post from IE11 on Win7 and got this message:
I also noticed I can't see the Likes given/received unless I'm logged in. From Firefox on Linux I can see them whether I'm logged in or not. I just can't get the Like button to do anything there.Code:Message from webpage You don't have permission to click this button

I' m not sure if Java version has anything to do with it or not.
I was just taking a stab at trying everything I could think of.
The good is- it works for me just fine, on everything at home- AND on the antique system at work.
Work software for me is:
Chrome :Version 41.0.2272.89 m
AND
Internet Explorer Version 8.0.7601.17514
- although my work IE does NOT allow Java to run- but I CAN see the like button.

I see the number of "likes" in two different spots now. Will it remain that way?

This one above the posts...
Likes (Given)2094
Likes (Received)3059
and where's the other?
Thanks

Yeah, my work doesn't let java run either. JavaScript still works though and that's what the old one used. People often confuse Java and JavaScript, but those are two different things. Hopefully the new like function is only dependent of JavaScript and not Java.
