I feel about as skittish as the market today making this post.

I have been off the forums for a couple of years, and am now back trying to creep around for updates. I stay tuned into the auto tracker forum, and am just now looking at the other forums. Everything seems so different to me. I don't see much for posts related to account information. In the past, a lot of members would post their rational for IFT moves, of which I now am not seeing much of that information. Also, when I view posts, they show up in descending order, from the origin of the member joining TSPTALK. I try to select the filter for posts, yet they still come up oldest first. Any insights that I am missing? Is the best avenue just to go to the newest posts link?

Click on Settings in the upper left corner, then on the next page General Settings in the lower right column, the look at the thread settings (see pick)

    Welcome back

    Here's an 8-year summary.

There are plenty of newer folks posting their IFTs, but (as you know) since the unlimited IFT option was removed, folks post their moves far less often. Many of the folks who were here during the 2008 IFT change, may have changed their names for fear of the repercussions from the TSP.Gov letters they received for frequent trading (and their monitoring of this website.)

Some folks may have left when Ebb's now defunct service went premium because they were getting it for free, then got pizzed about being asked to pay for it.

Some folks may have left when the forum tried to go political, some left when it wasn't political enough.

    Some died (Rest in peace.)

Milkman was banned for being his usual misunderstood smart-azz self, but then came back as Intrepid Timer and got even with Tom by starting a premium service here on the site.

Coolhand has a premium service here on the site.

Some folks come and go when the markets go in their direction, then vanish when they are wrong again.

Some folks are premium subscribers, so I imagine they don't post the privileged information they receive.

    There you have it...

Thanks so much JTH, feel like I am back in the game, a little familiarization curve, but on track. You mentioned Ebb being a premium service, I did not see him listed under the premiums, did I miss something?

No assumptions, please. Tom wanted me to stay, but I had personal reasons for leaving, and none of it has to do with that other guy. I don't know what the future holds. I'm just doing my thang.

Some of us know better. You can fool the new folks, but those of us that have been around for a while remember what your returns were.

Tom must really like you to allow you to advertise an outside website when you no longer have any affiliation with tsptalk. Good traders trade. Bad traders start websites about things that have nothing to do with trading.

Still sore about 2012 when you had an 8% lead and blew it in a couple of months. You didn't even manage to beat the S&P 500. In the past couple of years, you haven't beat the C-fund, let alone the Sentimental Survey, and that's by a huge margin. Don't be concerned about me (I'm not in a premium service), just think about your performance (random walk). Who's fooling who?

Boy I'm so glad I don't get into cat fights these days - but then again I always have Mindylou riding shotgun.
