Thread: New "Tweet" Feature

  1. #1

    Default New "Tweet" Feature

In case you were wondering what is going on when you highlight something on the forum, there is a new feature called "Twilighter" that will allow you to select text and Tweet it on your Twitter account.

I know, I know. Some of you will be indifferent, some will like it, a some will hate and say they will never post here again. That seems to be the case with any change we make. Anyway, here's how it works...

When you highlight text, a box will come up with the info ready to Tweet...

I don't think our demographics contains too many Tweeters right now, but I'm sure that's slowly changing as the younger folks start having TSP accounts. We got to keep up with the Jones's.

I'm mostly concerned if it causes any problems or is unbearably annoying. Otherwise, it may help promote TSP Talk site if people use it.

    Thanks.
    Tom

it does not bother me, good to keep up with the times.

On another note, I don't use twitter as I think it is incredibly annoying.

    ******NEWS FLASH******

On the announcement of TSPTalk implementing a new Twitter feed, the stock plummeted 8% based on the fears of saturation of Twitter servers and comments from members " I don't tweet" and "... I don't use twitter as I think it is incredibly annoying."

The stock has since recouped some losses, as these fears have been baseless.....

I don't know, but my dog gets very excited every time I say it.

I think it's like googling, but I don't know what that is either.

Maybe they should call it "toot" instead of tweet. This way if you say something profound, you can toot your own horn and put it on Twitter.

Tom, Nice that we can keep the next generation involved. I don't even know how to tweet let alone understand how it works. Not sure what the "hashtag" # does.
May the force be with us.
