He was my home state guru. I respected his opinion on the markets, but respected him as a family man much more. He is missed, but never will be forgotten.

Mike, may the Lord bless and keep you till you meet with your family and friends!

Should we take a collection up, and give it to his family?

Great idea! Anyone know his families bank or know who to call to get that info? I'm sure a small town bank like they probably used would set up an account we could ship checks to.

nasa1974 gave me this info, if someone wants to take the lead and let the rest of us know what do to.

ARRANGEMENTS: Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing.

    WEBSITE:
    www.davis-fh.com.

    Ball-Davis Funeral Home
    300 N. McKinley Street
    Ewing, Missouri 63440
    Phone: (573) 494-3203

I just called the funeral home. For flowers they recommend a local florist but they don't do FTD. I would guess a major credit card would be accepted.

I, too, figured Show-me was a bit older. He was wise beyond his years. A great example to all of us in grace, humility and just plain decency. Gone, but not forgotten. Semper Fidelis, Marine.

I went out to the Ball-Davis Funeral Home website and found his obituary and a moving video tribute with pictures from his life: Michael E. Stark

Mike already took care of where the 'collections' should go, just like he took care of his family.

we could all contribute as desired and specify recipient. i think either organization would gladly accept any gift at any time in the near future, it doesn't have to be tomorrow. we could set a cutoff date and then aggregate funds a couple of weeks from now. tom, you have the facilities already established to accept credit card or personal check purchases, would you be the middle man? i'm in.

if we as his friends want to show-mike support at the ceremony on saturday, then we could establish contact with either the funeral home or pastor and i'm sure an email document sent COB tomorrow could be printed and present in an appropriate form with our well-wishes and cares and prayers posted in this thread. if anybody has already made that contact i can make the document and forward it. if not, i could try to facilitate that contact too. i bet the florist could do so as well, but maybe the money for flowers would be better spent on his music or sports intentions.

get ahold of all your tsptalk contacts and post it here by tomorrow. we could send him one heck of a thank you card. he is loved and appreciated by many. let's help walk him home, friends.

Tears of grief, yet such peace he shared with us. What more could he have given us?
