Not likely just on this jobs report because they have specifically said 6.5% and there is no way it is dropping that far... besides, in their meeting notes they talked about increasing it too if necessary...

It makes you wonder why they bother to post these initial results. They are rarely close to the final number.

Rules revision: All contestant's entries in the Guess the (Month) Jobs Report are for the specific month. All revisions applied by the Dept of Labor after the fact will not be recognized to disrupt the award of past contests: Regardless of how accurate/inaccurate they are.

Thanks. It was indeed just a lucky guess. I don't have any more knowledge than all of the good folks here. Tom, your contests are one of the really fun things about this site. Of course, winning helps . I keep on telling the Lotto people that - me winning would make me like it more - but they haven't gotten the hint.
