If anyone's local news (not a cable channel like CNBC) mentions the stock marketasthe top story, can you please let us know? Also, please tellusthe city your news is coming from.

This is a great indicator of being near or at, a bottom (or top).

    Thanks,
    Tom

Watch your local news tonight and please report it here. See above. We'll know when there is enough fear when it's the top story.

We are getting close to a bottom. I would still like to see the marketon the front page of your local newspaper or the top story on the local news. Please let us know if you see this in the coming days.

    Thanks!
    Tom

Thanks. I see the United Kingdom's version of Reuters (reuters.co.uk) has the second headline as "Billions wiped off stock market". Maybe the I fund hasabout bottomed out.

The U.S. version is a bit more tame saying, "Stocks tumble on security fears". Did someone say fear?

This is a bull market and we don't necessarily have to have a panic bottom as we might see in a bear market, but I'd sure like to see one. Those capitulations are easier to read than just a reversal as we've seen during the past two months of mini corrections.
