A lot of love has been lost for the sentiment survey in recent months. It's on a sell with an exclamation point now. Could this be a turning point?
Incidentally, on the survey results page, how come when the SS is holding C, the return is not the same as the S&P 500? Does our C-fund not match up identically to the S&P? Just curious.![]()
Welcome to the club, it does that to all of us sometimes.
The trick is to not make a move unless you feel it, really believe it, no matter what you hear or read, and in spite of what you might be afraid to think.
That way there is only one owner of the mistakes, which helps with the acknowledgement part, which speeds the recovery part.
And if in doubt and stuck real good I just hold it until it comes back to me, bound to get lucky eventually.

hey ed
With Friday off, is the survey going to start this evening?
Surprise!
The TSP Talk Sentiment Survey came in at 47% bulls, 29% bears, for a bulls to bears ratio of 1.21 to 1. That is a buy signal in a bull market and the system has just moved into its bull market rules.
This mean the system will move to 100% S-Fund for the week of 1/09/12 - 1/13/12.
Bull market rules are in affect the week of 1/09/12:
