The ytd starts when the site transitioned so ~ May.
Not only are they technologically inept, but the English language seems to be beyond their grasp as well.

Re: Federal Employees Will Pay 8.7% More Toward Health Care Premiums Next Year

Funny, I don't recall seeing my premiums go down when we were using fewer medical services.

    Can't we just ban forks?

Reddit crowd was manipulating each other, no doubt. But what percentage of shares were they holding?

Keeping an eye on GME and AMC.
Both show the same weird spike between 2:05 and 2:10. :suspicious:

If you still think it's the reddit crowd manipulating this situation, I don't know what else to say.

GME right now looks a lot like VW did in 08 before it shot up.

    Re: Gamestop

I believe there is a difference between sending out optimistic messages based off nothing to drive up a price and sharing public information to point out that hedges shorted more shares than exist.

    Re: Gamestop

Now brokers are not allowing people to buy shares of certain stocks, only sell.
So if people are still allowed to sell, who is allowed to buy?

How is that not market manipulation?

    Re: Gamestop

I don't see how sharing public information is manipulation. And I still stand behind a bunch of people on a reddit group cannot affect the market this much.

If Melvin is lying to spread news on...

    Re: Recent High Flying Stocks

It's not reddit causing the upswing, not enough money there. This is billionaires teaching other billionaires a lesson.

    Re: RothTSP question

That's fine, I'm in my mid-30s and already hitting 15% of my salary to regular TSP.
This will just be a little fund to grow tax free with whatever I need to get to my yearly max.

    RothTSP question

So a Roth IRA has the $0-$10,000 rule for married filing separately.
Is there a similar rule for the Roth TSP?

My google-fu is failing me and all I'm getting answers on is the RothIRA rule.

I'd retire now and I'm over a decade under that.
Assuming house and any other debt (I don't have any but if I did) was paid off, I would be comfortable with it.

    Re: DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

Tread lightly. If you first really started paying attention this past spring, you can think you've got it all figured out. An ever-increasing market will do that.
