    Re: clester's Account Talk

We're in no mans land now, imo. between the 50 and 200 dma and having filled the gap on S&P. We are still in an upward bias, 50 above the 200. I'm tempted to buy in soon. Ideally, we test the recent...

    Re: clester's Account Talk

I wouldn't be surprised if we go up and close the gap on S&P before going back down. I don't think its gonna be a V bottom here. But, I could be wrong :)

    Re: clester's Account Talk

RSI below 30 is a buy and below 20 is a screaming buy. At least a short term buy. I'd like to see a bounce first but under 20 I'm all in!

    Re: Retirement Talk - 03/19/19

So, part B is $135/ person premium it seems. So, $270/mo plus deductibles minus $600 reimbursement per person for BCBS basic. Part A is free.

    Sound about right?

    Re: Retirement Talk - 03/19/19

So, to sum up your post. If you have BCBS Basic (like me) you should probably take Medicare A and B but not D. Whats the cost for Medicare A and B for 2 people? $600 rebate sounds good too so include...

    Re: clester's Account Talk

If we can pull back to the 2670 area or back to the 50 dam then that would be a good buying opportunity IMO. Still in bear market rules though. Most of the individual stocks I'm looking at got very...

    Re: EX-Pat retirement

My current idea/dream is to sell the house and move around the US, or where ever, renting furnished apartments, for say 6 months at a time. I would go where the seasonal weather is nice. Some folks...

I'll say one more thing that I've learned over the years. When every thinks something will happen. It usually doesn't. Lots of folks thinking a pull back is coming. Including me.

    Re: clester's Account Talk

Its tough trying to time a buy. Waiting for a pull back can leave you on the sidelines for way too long. Been there. Buying a rally can bite you too because at anytime a sell off can take place. I...

    Re: clester's Account Talk

The RSI values are 63 ish on the S&P. This is a strong reading but not too strong yet to indicate overbought. 70 is a warning sign and 80 is a sell sign. We have some room left but as we reach the...

    Re: PessOptimist's Retirement Story

I retired in 2010 and things were slow and not much communication. It is nerve racking until it all gets settled. But, you will get everything in the end. Back pay from the missing pay from from...

Going 25% S and 25% C funds. Got the 200 dma above and the triple top area to get through before we can call an all clear plus we need the get the 50 dma back above the 200. That will take a while.

    Re: clester's Account Talk

The gaps are now filled on that island formation. So, where do we go from here? Fed announcement this afternoon. I have until tomorrow to get in for February so I will wait for that. I’m feeling...

    Re: clester's Account Talk

We tapped back down today. Creating an “island’ formation I think it’s called. In this case that’s bearish. I’ll be interested in how this plays out. I’m in no hurry to buy but I would like to buy by...

    Re: clester's Account Talk

I don’t like the gap up on S&P this morning. Will we need to fill it soon? Also, back at the important level around 2680 to break out of the V shaped dip in December. Plus we’ve come a long way. I’m...

    Re: clester's Account Talk

We popped through the 50 day MA, as well as the double low last fall, and have now retested it and bounced. These are good signs. The 50 dma is still below the 200 so I'm still in bear market rules....

We popped through the 50 dam easily. There is usually a re test of the breakout. I think I will wait for that. Plus we are already up big for the month.

Thinking of selling today. Probably just listening to talking heads too much but they paint an ugly picture. The charts look ugly too. Even if we were overbought, those rallies get sold. I kinda want...
