Default Am I Using My TSP To My Advantage While on FMLA

I was in hospital w/pneumonia (never had a cold or smoked) have used up leave - going on FMLA - have 39 years in. Dr wants me to retire - can't afford it due to offset/windfall where I loose husbands social security. I am sitting here, snowed in, wondering if I should withdraw a months pay, and transfer to 401K at CU - I am over 60 - I was fortunate I did have two months leave - BUT QUESTION is - should I be making better use of my Thrift Plan money?

Are you talking about an age-based withdrawal before you retire, or retiring and transfering to an IRA?
