Default L fund - Target date funds

If a change is made in how the Life Cycle funds are operated out in the real world, will that automatically change the L Funds that we know & work with? ...if they aren't getting the protection they need?

No matter what your investment vehicle may be, pray that whatever you own is in a bull market when it's time to retire.

The mutual fund industry fooled us in the years of the raging bull that the L Fund type investments would lead retirees into the sunset. What will they think of next?

Even those with 2000-2010 target dates, which in theory should be particularly conservative, were down by an average of 22.5 percent, according to Morningstar.
How many L-Income or L-2010's had losses during the '08-09 crash that they will never make up through sensible investing?
