Exclamation "Gray Area" Retiree Benefits (Nat.Guard) (Reserves)

Bill Would Help ‘Gray Area' Retirees

So-called "gray area" retirees, who served 20 or more years in the National Guard or reserves but are not old enough to qualify for full retirement benefits, would be able to pay for coverage under the TRICARE Reserve Plan (TRS), under a measure offered in the House by Rep. Bob Latta, R-Ohio. Under present law, "gray area" retirees are not eligible for TRICARE coverage until age 60. The change would affect the roughly 220,000 "gray area" retirees, as well as the roughly 12,100 former citizen-service members who join their rolls each year, Latta says. The measure, H.R. 6185, is now pending before the House Armed Services Committee.
My thoughts of future market events are strictly my gut feelings and have nothing

Wow, they had to serve but don't get Tricare!!! That's crazy. They need to pass this bill or else it's yet another reason NOT to join the Reserves.
