Bob Latta, R-Ohio. Under present law, "gray area" retirees are not eligible for TRICARE coverage until age 60. The change would affect the roughly 220,000 "gray area" retirees, as well as the roughly 12,100 former citizen-service members who join their rolls each year, Latta says. The measure, H.R. 6185, is now pending before the House Armed Services Committee.

Wow, they had to serve but don't get Tricare!!! That's crazy. They need to pass this bill or else it's yet another reason NOT to join the Reserves.
