    Default early retirement benefits?

I am having problems getting a question answered thru personnel..I am FERS..I want to retire either at 43 with 25 yrs service or 48 with 30 yrs service. I am not AT. I am ok with TSP options but I need to know when retirement benefits will begin(MRA 56? or 62) on the two different ages.I have gotten no luck with admin helping me clarify.
    thanks

Don't quote me on this, but I think that when you have 30 years of service, you can retire but won't start getting benefits until your MRA. If you have 25 years of service, you'd have to wait until you're 60.

That's not counting when you'd start getting Social Security checks.

FERS Retirment Benefits book here. Start on Page 8 for the rundown on FERS, including the "i before e except after c" rules on early retirement.
